Born in Galiza (Spain). Piano graduate at the Conservatoires of Santiago de Compostela and Lausanne, he gained his Master of Arts in Conducting at the “Hochschule für Musik Zürich”.
His recent activities includes the Premiere of the melodram “Die Träumenden Knaben” by the German Composer Torsten Rasch at “The Two Moors Festival 2009” and his participation at the “Dartington Summer School” where he is awarded by “Ingpen and Williams” and “Cath Collins” to work under the guidance of Diego Masson, performing Madama Butterfly by Puccini.
Selected by the JONDE (Spanish Young National Orchestra) to take part in his program for young conductors, he is regularly invited to work with orchestras such by Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Vigo Opera Festival and has collaborated with Conservatoires of Santiago de Compostela and Vigo. In addition he take part, as pianist, at the “Galicia XXI Project” created by Galician flutist Luís Soto.
He has permormed in Switzerland, Czech Republic, France, Bulgaria and Liechtenstein, working at the same time as assistant of Nicolas Chalvin, with whom he has already cooperated in several opera productions such as “The Nose”, by D. Schostakovitch at Nantes-Angers Opera House, and “Carmen” by G. Bizet at Lausanne Opera House. Both shows were staged by Patrice Caurier and Moshe Leiser.
Diego is Musical director of the TAC Ensemble.
